Meet Our Planners

Whether it’s the couple or our crew, we know that together is the best place to be!

JHevents is a boutique wedding planning business based out of Hartford County, Connecticut. While we primarily serve the New England states, we are willing to travel to just about anywhere under the right circumstances! Our principles were founded on creating unforgettable memories that reflect each couple’s individual needs and vision to ensure their wedding day speaks to them. Collaboratively, we work with your team of vendors to implement and execute a cohesive timeline to ensure your wedding team can provide a superb level of support and expertise. Creating a unique event space and guest experience that encompasses each small detail is a top priority. Our goal is to keep our couples at ease so they can truly be present for the entirety of the day. Meet our planners below!

Meet Jess

Jessica’s passion for the event industry started in high school while working for Hartford Marathon Foundation, a small business that organizes road races in New England. She decided to pursue her love for the industry further by attending Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. Jessica graduated with a degree in Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management with a concentration in wedding planning.

Fast forward several years, Jessica gained a wide range of experience working at multiple wedding venues and event-based organizations. Her love of the industry led her to take the leap in 2019 to begin JHevents, her own event planning business. During this time she also became a certified wedding planner through the New York Institute of Art and Design Wedding Planning Course.

Today, with the freedom and no limitations, Jessica and her team have been able to curate weddings of all scopes and sizes to truly reflect each couple’s vision and dreams. Diligent at work, she provides her clients with a sense of tranquility, a superb level of organization and attention to detail, all while carrying a sense of humor throughout the process. These are just a few traits her past couples have stated regarding their experience with JHevents. Immersed in the wedding industry, she has also been able to establish an army of co-vendors to assure each couple is at ease knowing they are being supported by the best in the business on their wedding day.

Other than her passion of crafting weddings and events, Jessica loves being outdoors skiing, hiking and mountain biking. She’s also a huge foodie and loves trying new foods from diverse cuisines and cultures.

Meet Liz

Liz and Jessica met in 2004 in seventh grade social studies class. Jess and Liz instantly connected through similar hobbies and have remained close friends ever since. Almost 20 years later, Liz joined the JHevents team in 2020. Liz is able to put couples and guests at ease with her calming presence and sense of humor, while juggling each and every detail at hand.

When Liz isn’t spreading her contagious positive vibes at a wedding, she can be found outdoors enjoying everything nature-related such as gardening, hiking, biking, or just being outside with her three fur babies and husband!

Meet Alicia

Alicia and Jessica met in 2009 when they were college roommates at Johnson & Wales University. Both graduated with the same degree in Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management, and their relationship continued long after college and through the start of JHevents. Alicia began her journey as Jesscia’s assistant at the very first JHevents wedding in October of 2019. Alicia’s expertise is bringing every detail to life while incorporating a level of creativity to cater to each couple’s day and vision.

When Alicia’s not curating details on a wedding day, you can find her out on the slopes snowboarding, being a mom to her adorable son, or being her boyfriend’s biggest cheerleader at the track during dirt bike race season!

Meet Arianna

Arianna joined the JHevents team in May of 2023 when pursuing an interest in the event industry after a career change from Physical Education and health. Arianna applied her creativity and strong leadership and teaching skills to the wedding industry. After testing the waters as an intern for the 2023 weddings season, she officially joined as an assistant coordinator in 2024. Arianna is quick on her feet and proactive to respond to any issues that arise. Her ability to problem solve keeps the team one step ahead at all times and is vital to the team’s success!

Outside of weddings, Arianna works as a Youth Prevention Coordinator. During her free time, she enjoys cheering on her Jets team from the stands and hiking with a goal to visit all 63 National Parks.
